Our Unheated Classes

Yoga for Absolute Beginners

For students who have never tried yoga before and are apprehensive about just jumping into a class, we’ve got you covered! Join us in this once-a-month class to learn all the basics about yoga, what to expect in a classroom, common poses and move through your first sequence of poses. Our experienced teachers will guide you in this class that leaves space for conversation and questions. Everyone was a beginner once, and it is never too late to start! Class will be offered in the hot room a few times a year as well.

Restorative

A gentle and nurturing practice that uses props, such as bolsters and blankets, to support the body in deep relaxation. Postures are held for longer periods of time in order to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and to encourage the body and mind to experience peaceful surrender.

Yin & Meditate

Yin yoga is a calming practice that balances our active lifestyles. It increases flexibility, body awareness, and peace of mind. This class is an opportunity to dive deeply into yourself, and receive the wisdom and insights that reside within, as we quiet the outside world and mind through posture and meditative techniques, tuning into the language of the body.

Yin

Immerse yourself in the blissful practice of yin yoga. Explore a deep stretch as you target your fascia (connective tissue) to increase flexibility by moving to your own personal edge through a series of postures, resting into each shape anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes. Deeply release tension as you stretch the connective tissue of your hips, pelvis and spine.

Gentle Hatha

A practice suitable for those with injuries or mobility issues. This class brings a supportive and intelligent approach to gently opening the body, learning to breathe more efficiently, and relieving the mind of stress and tension. This class asks you to tune in and be mindfully aware of what if happening in the body. It is often mostly floor based, with grounded, low poses, though may include some standing postures, finishing with a sweet Savasana. Expect little to no vinyasas.

Hatha

A practice suitable for all levels focusing on body alignment that strengthens, lengthens and provides stability. The practice provides a solid foundation to yoga poses and has you holding poses for longer periods of time. Hatha brings a supportive and intelligent approach to opening the body, learning to breathe more efficiently and relieving the mind of stress and tension. This class moves static posture to static posture, grounded, mid-level, and standing and balance postures included.

Flow & Restore

Join us for the perfect mix of gentle movement and deep relaxation. In the first half, we flow through sequences that warm the body, release tension, and increase flexibility. In the second half, we focus on longer, deep poses to let go of stored tension. Relaxation and rejuvenation are guaranteed as the nervous system calms. Our class offers the balance you need to find harmony and serenity.

Flow Intro

This introduction class teaches you how to sequence yoga postures together, along with your breath cycles to cultivate a deep mind-body-breath connection. By combining conscious breathing with purposeful movement, practitioners cultivate intention and mindfulness which ultimately leads to physical strength, flexibility, inner peace, and mental clarity. Learn how to engage in poses, to feel confident to try next level classes.

Yoga with Weights

This hybrid class combines the flow of vinyasa yoga with the strength training of weight lifting. You will work your entire body strengthening and toning as you connect breath and movement together. The sequence is similar week to week to allow you to learn the weight sequences and become more comfortable with them. This class is great to help prevent osteoporosis.

Flow

Experience the profound joy a flow-style practice can bring to your body, mind, and heart! Our experienced teachers will guide you safely through creative sequences, emphasizing linking breath with movement. This class moves you through sequences at a faster pace and explores more challenging asanas such as backbends and arm balances. Flow classes contain elements of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara and Iyengar practices.

Ashtanga

This traditional practice contains a dynamic sequence of postures, offering a profound exploration of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Class follows a specific sequence of postures that are meticulously designed to build heat in the body and purify both the physical and energetic systems. Students are guided through a series of sun salutations, standing and seated poses, inversions, and closing postures, with an emphasis on smooth, controlled breathing known as ujjayi breath through out the movements.

Follow-the-Yogi Ashtanga Primary Series

Follow alongside the instructor as they move through the Ashtanga primary series with you. This class provides minimal instruction and an opportunity to flow through primary series seamlessly. Some Ashtanga experience is recommended, but anyone with experience practicing flow/vinyasa yoga is a good candidate to join this class!
